I was riding in a car with someone I knew in my dream, but not in real life. They were driving a little erratically through some mountain like terrain and the driver decided to stop midway up a very steep and narrow road and the car bang to roll backwards. I realized that there were two cars behind us, and tried to tell the driver, he didn’t stop in time and we rolled fast into the other two cars. This caused the cars to roll down the side of a mountain. One of the girls whose car rolled down was able to get out, but the dirt she was holding on to eroded away and she fell, I assume to her death as well. I was completely fine and so was the person driving the car I was in, but it seemed like everyone else died.
Dreams involving cars often symbolize your journey through life, representing control, direction, and the choices you make. In your dream, the erratic driving and the steep, narrow road could reflect feelings of uncertainty or lack of control in your waking life. The driver, who you didn’t know in real life, might represent aspects of yourself or a situation in which you feel you have little control.
The act of stopping midway up a steep incline suggests a pause in your progress. This could hint at an internal struggle with difficult decisions or fears of failure as you try to reach a goal or navigate a challenging situation. The backward roll of the car implies a fear of regression, where you feel you’re moving away from your objectives or hitting obstacles.
The collision with the other two cars reinforces the idea of unintended consequences from your decisions or those of others around you. The fact that you are unharmed while others experience tragedy could reflect feelings of guilt or survivor’s guilt, especially if you've witnessed others struggle and fail in their endeavors.
The girl holding onto dirt that erodes symbolizes the fragility of security and support. Her fall suggests the potential for negative outcomes when one relies on unstable foundations. You being fine indicates resilience, a sense of self-preservation, or perhaps emotional detachment from the outcomes of others' struggles.
Overall, this dream may relate to feelings about your current path, fears of making mistakes, or witnessing the fallout from other people’s choices. Reflecting on your waking life and assessing areas where you feel pressured, responsible, or stuck may provide further insights into your dream's meaning.
